To realize the Forward Stride vision, we must successfully reach our fundraising goals. Our program fees do not cover the cost of operating the center. As a nonprofit, we rely on the generosity of friends to make up the difference. In addition to financial support, we'd love to receive donations of equipment, feed, services, talents and skills -- you name it. Our goal is to link arm-in-arm with our community in order to best serve our clients. Stewardship of our resources is a high priority within our organization. Forward Stride requires 2-3 volunteers for every client we serve in order to provide a safe environment. In 2007, volunteers contributed approximately 7,700 hours. Numerous individuals have stepped forward with much needed gifts
and donations. We deeply thank all those who have contributed their
time, money, and services in order to allow Forward Stride to flourish!
1. The Whole Enchilada. Please visit the complete Wish List all of our needed items in all price ranges. We've even included links for you online shoppers! 2. Gravel. Oh boy, when it rains... We need truckloads of sand, gravel and roadcloth. 3. Gently used tack and barn supplies. What we can't use we'll sell as a fundraiser! We especially need turnout blankets, wheelbarrows and hoses. 4. Kubota Utility Vehicle. We are looking for a new or used vehicle for hauling stuff around our 60 acres! Please see our complete Wish List for more details. 5. Covered round pen. We are looking for the donation of a high-quality, covered round pen to be used for exercising our horses and as one more place for turnout. 6. Pasture Shelter. We are looking for a portable pasture shelter where we could keep our horses safe from the elements. This would give us our herd a place to be warm and dry while enjoying their daily turnout. 7. Truck. We are looking for a donated truck powerful enough to pull a horse trailer. This could also be used for advertising. 8. Four horse slant trailer. We would
use the donated trailer to take our students to horse shows, on
trail rides and as a billboard to advertise our supporters. |
